The Way to Use Hot Rollers for Your Hair

Most of us know that a good’do (in addition to accessories and shoes ) completes our look, but I’ll be first to confess to falling flat when it comes to my hair.   To the rescue?  Hot rollers!  That is right ladies, break out the rollers.   No more”who is looking in my hair when I’ve got these heels?” Moments or being satisfied with all the My Little Pony (tail) or the contrary to the Ear Tuck.  Ugh.  Employing an ear.  Double ugh.  Time for a mind full of loveliness with the assistance of a head full of pliers… and some It is Judy Time.

How to Use Hot Rollers

Since I haven’t used hot rollers in a while (OK, years), I needed help in the jog-my-memory department.   I tuned into It’s Judy Time, a series of hair and beauty tutorial movies on the TV Website.  In under four minutes, Judy showed me how to amp up my look with rollers, talking to roll place.  It is not if that sounds complex, trust me.  Nothing is difficult with Judy at the helm, armed with products and her personality.  She makes everything fun and easy to follow.

Her step-by-step approach is easy and focused, direct and friendly.   Between the occasional elite (or as I say,”spiffy”) songs along with her conversational tone, there’s a casual elegance from the movie (all of her videos, actually).    FYI, Judy’s videos aren’t just about hot rollers.   From to making bangs or beachy 11, how to create an updo, she has’em all.

Judy’s Advice For How To Use Hot Rollers

I went to a mission to try hot rollers, following her advice whilst taking pics on the way.

All I could say is”thank goodness for Judy.”  So amazing was Judy that I’m thinking of inviting her out.  And family picnic.  Heck, perhaps even vacations… where of course my hair will be JudyFab.  In fact, I think”JudyFab” ought to be a new word that replaces”awesome,” or”amazing.”  There’s good hair and then there’s JudyFab hair”Oh that brand new hairstyle is so JudyFab!” (meaning “to die for!”)    But I digress.   That’s how I get when I’m,  you know, on a roll (ha, I crack myself up).

Let’s get to it.

Me, Pre-Judy Time

My hangin’ hair Tuck.  I had some oomph.

Roll with it

That is first explained by judy following spraying hair to start on top of head rolling away from the face.  Continue to the sides rolling out of poking from the roller from face while trying to minimize stray hairs.  And if there’s a strand that is rebel?  No biggie — as with most of her movies, she makes a point not to fret over a hair or two that is out of location (we are human, not trying to be about America’s Next Top Model).

Putting up my hair took just more than five minutes.

Cool Off & Clean Up

Judy is just one multi-tasking gal (obtained Id love her energy), and she reminded me that I should be too.    After hair is set see, Judy said a time.   What to do in the meantime?  I followed in her footsteps along with her proposal of getting laundry out of the dryer (how’d she know about those sheets I had left sitting for two… fine, 4 days?)   If laundry did not float our boat (personally, I loved the time-saving idea: tidy up while becoming JudyFab), she provided yet another option:  put on makeup while waiting.  Very efficient woman.

Hot Roller Removal Time

Judy highlights the importance of making sure the rollers have cooled.   She informs us that more time that is cooling will be needed by hair.  (That was my situation, and the main reason for breaking the cleaning spray).

It begins to get exciting: time to take out the rollers and see some results!

I took out the side rollers.  I loved my smoother feel and the rollers Made a fun end flip in my layers:

I removed the pliers.  Wow.  Out dropped one perfectly-coiled roster that was mega.  See why she says to roll away in the face?  If another direction had rolled imagine?  More people would be speaking about my look than Suri Cruise’s sloppy, choppy new’do.  Well, perhaps not would think like that.

Finally, Judy tells us to run our fingers through our hair.   It amazes my just-rolled look, loosening any rolls that were tight my hair blended together.  Be careful to not overdo it though because it can remove from the result that is complete . Remember ladies, this is all about with more bounce and going fuller.

Tah-Dah … JudyFab Hair

As Judy’s tutorial readily showed me, using hot rollers is an extremely simple, quick way to get fuller hair (and eliminate paw prints out of my windows).  It is just want I wanted and was perfect for my extended layers:  70 or no Orphan Annie curl’s Charlie’s Angel flip.  Fuller hair with design which was precisely what my strands were begging for.

Who doesn’t want hair that makes us feel über femme?  Like they do in these fancy hair product advertisements that are slow-mo this It is Judy Time locks.  Whenever I change my look, even if it’s subtle, I can not help but feel giddy.
