DIY Moisturizer — 6 Recipes for Supple, Glowing Skin

Just a few take the initiative to work in it — although the desire for healthy, glowing skin is one that many women possess. DIY Moisturizer Recipes 

1. Avocado Oil Moisturizer

Why Avocado oil? Avocados are loaded with nutrients like vitamins C, B6 and K, potassium, folate, and fiber. The anti-oxidizing caliber of avocado will help exfoliate dead skin cells, so that regeneration can take place with ease. Additionally, the fatty acids and elements in avocado oil help business its barrier to maintain your skin cells and lighten skin. Fatty acids are essential to cell membranes that are — without them, the skin would look dull.

The recipe

  1. Split open an avocado and remove the seed
  2. Puree the flesh from the two halves
  3. Set the pureed avocado into a pot and heat
  4. Remove from heat Once the avocado turns dark
  5. Squeeze the heated avocado puree through a cheesecloth to extract the oil
  6. Pour the oil in a jar
  7. Maintain the oil in the refrigerator and scoop out as necessary

To use, rub the oil on to your skin softly and wait for 30 minutes. Boost with water that is lukewarm. Repeat weekly.

2. The Egg Yolk Mix Moisturizer

Why egg yolk? Eggs provide healthy nutrients such as folate, lutein, zeaxanthin vitamins and antioxidants for general wellbeing, plus skin radiance and glow using egg yolk in moisturizing your skin is founded on proven research; as a binding agent with no synthetic ingredients, it will lead to firmer skin. This easy recipe makes it feasible for the skin to absorb ingredients after appropriate use.

The recipe

  1. Break two eggs
  2. Separate the yolks and put them in a bowl
  3. Add a quarter of ripened avocado
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt
  5. Whisk to combine
  6. Step into your tub tub
  7. Apply a thick coating of this mixture over your skin
  8. Leave to dry for 15 minutes
  9. twist on warm water and wash off
  10. Repeat the process weekly

3. Cocoa Butter Rub-in Moisturizer

Cocoa butter has a rich mix of stearic and palmitic acids and saturated fats which give cleansing power to this ingredient. This recipe combines castor and Argan oils for optimum impact and cocoa butter. It is also possible to experiment by incorporating in almond and/or jojoba oil.

The recipe

  1. Scoop equal amounts of cocoa butter, castor oil and Argan into a spoonful
  2. Heat the mixture gently and stir till combined
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture cool before scooping into a jar
  4. Place in the fridge for half an hour or until hardened
  5. To use, scoop into a hot water tub
  6. Soak in the tub for up to one hour
  7. Dry with a towel and use your cream
  8. Repeat as often as you like

4. Yogurt with Lemon Moisturizer

Why yogurt? Yogurt is a lively source for the supply of potassium, magnesium, vitamin B12, proteins and ellagic acid.

The recipe

  1. Wash one lemon and cut open
  2. Hand squeeze 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to the bowl
  3. Add 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  4. Add 1 egg white
  5. Whisk ingredients together
  6. drizzle liberally in your face and let dry for 15 minutes
  7. Wash off with lukewarm water

5. Coconut Oil Rub

Why coconut oil? Coconut oil is loaded with fats, proteins and vitamin E. Regular use of coconut oil on skin does show results. It works on hair!

The recipe

There’s no recipe. Pick up organic, unrefined coconut oil and implement onto skin. Repeat. Try using it after bathing in the morning and prior to going to bed.

6. Honey and Banana

Why honey and banana? Honey is full of age-defying ingredients and antioxidants. Banana on the other hand includes potassium and vitamins C and E.

The recipe

  1. Mix one-quarter of a banana with 1 tbsp of honey with a fork
  2. Add 1 tablespoon powdered milk
  3. Mix
  4. Rub all over your skin and let dry for Approximately 30 min
  5. Rinse with lukewarm water
