True Confessions: I Could ’t Deal with Long Nails
Long claws , a.k.a.”stiletto” nails, are extremely popular. By Adele and Rihanna to the waitress at the local diner, long and pointed hints are popping up everywhere. Me? Sorry, I’m not a fan. In fact, I can’t deal with long claws . Not on me. Not on anybody.
Sureback in the day and to some extent even these times, wearers of long nails are thought to ooze with femininity. Long nails declare that we are successful and a tiny vixen, in charge of everything out of our careers to our bedroom desires. With nails, we are bombshells. Long nails say we are fun and flirtatious ladies since, you know, nothing says”come-hither” just like a wink and a glimpse of our Edward Scissorhands.
Why I Can Not Deal with Long, Pointed Nails
See, I’m a”let’s get to it” lady. All of the fuss of filing, particularly to a stage, has in the manner of the things I would like to do… now. Not 10 minutes after I file my nails, but at the moment and without stress: tugging at the sheets when creating the bed, peeling back a yogurt lid, rifling through my handbag or trying on new shoes.
So I guess my real problem is just one of convenience. Are more than plenty for me. They are long enough to help me satisfy an itching that is unexpected or to seem nice, but short enough that I don’t impale my friend.
Reason for short claws #1,476: You are able to type better.
As a writer, daggers make me feel like my writing process is slowed down, holding me back. In my laptop, nails that are long distance me from a gap between my fingers, my head along with the words I type. Extended pinkie nails often strike at a letter, their span with a mind of their own. My claws are composing, not me. There are too many”backspace” hits to fix my claws’ unpredictable keyboard behaviours. It’s annoying. To get back on the right track, I split out the clippers.
Some people re-charge using a smoothie or lively outdoor walk, but getting rid of too-long claws works.
Short Nails = Stylish Nails? Yes!
Since I prefer nails that are short does not mean that I lose out on all of the fun nail anything or colors. I’m about nail art styles, rocking amazing shades from Revlon. I have enjoyed the peel’n play with sparkles, like to wear many different colours and stick nail art. I have had compliments on my festive holiday claws, my pumpkin artwork on Halloween and my July 4th nails… in spite of the fact that they were very un-Fergie in length.
In, um, short… long claws don’t do it for me. It is hard to understand that stiletto nails are favored for any reason. However, I was raised to find the good.
Hmmm.
Well, I suppose they could double as toothpicks. Or come in handy for all those annoying times when that bagel you purchased isn’t cut completely. And there’s always the delight of slowly dragging them along a chalk board.
No matter your preference, here are a few nail colors to try.
