New York Fashion Week Nails: And Also the Trends Are…

New York Fashion Week always makes us giddy.  We love eyeing up every detail right down to nail tendencies.   Last year saw us through all sorts of looks including magnetized swirl consequences, nail art and even fuzzy nails.   But fashionistas need to know what’s in store for us come Spring/Summer 2014, right?

In a note:  variety (yay! I love options).  NYFW nail trends ran the gamut from bright oranges to hardly there hues.  And there’s still nail art… more subtle, but nail art nonetheless.

There’s a look for everybody.    So what’s in store for us all come Spring/Summer 2014?  Drum roll, please…

The New York Fashion Week Nail Trends

1. Subtle Nail Art.
Whew.  I was happy to see the trend didn’t fade away.  It just got a kind of mani-makeover.

Stripes:
Get out that continuous hands and enter stripes. A few lines were worn by some versions throughout the suggestion of a strong nail.  Others turned out in tic-tac-toe creativity. Typically, thin black lines were featured by the look .

Subtle stripes have been a biggie at NYFW 2013.

Conservative:

In a few instances, models’ digits donned a style, such as beige and white half-moon designs.

Some versions paired”Don’t Pretzel my Buttons” (OPI) with a white half-moon effect.

2.  Subtle Hues 
Get ready to bat those eyelashes.  Tones , pale pinks and ladylike sheers were a NYFW nail fashion that is frequent.

3.  Bold & exceptional Color, Vintage Application 
Orange claws (along with lots of orange lip colours ) rocked NYFW runways.  Did unique colors with tones that are earthy.  What we enjoyed about this nail trend was the simplicity.  Ah, back to the basics: select a colour, slide on a few coats, and call it a day!
