Best 15 Toy List to Your 2015 Holiday Season (Sponsored)

With Christmas only three months away, I have begun to prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Like most moms on a budget, I try to pick up on-sale items during the year, but the bulk of my holiday shopping occurs in the final months of the year. Each and every toy on the Fab 15 list was carefully curated based on industry trends, input from children and parents, and over 50 years of toy shopping experience.

Holiday Toy Shopping

Being a mom to a 3 year-old girl and an 8 year-old boy means buying a diverse range of toys. While my daughter is ultra-girly and enjoys makeup, tea parties, and baby dolls, my son prefers toys at the opposite end of the spectrum, like video games, super heroes, and anything zombie-related. Both of my children are also attracted to electronic toys that allow for interactive play, such as toys with buttons, switches, and controls.

Kmart’s Fab 15 list of holiday toys provide plenty of great selections to choose from that I know my kids will love. One of the first toys that caught my eye on the list was the Disney Frozen Sing Along Elsa Doll by Jakks Pacific. Like many children (and adults), my daughter loves the film Frozen, and would love to sing “Let It Go” as a duet with Elsa.

My kids have not yet made their annual letter to Santa, but they have kept me up-to-date on what toys they want. For my son, the NERF Zombie Strike Doominator by Hasbro sounds like the ultimate gift. He already has a few NERF guns in his toy arsenal, and the Zombie-edition weapon is sure to be an excellent addition. Due to his love for all-things superheroes, the Hulk Smash RC Vehicle by Jakks Pacific is also a contender.

While my kids are not exactly picky when it comes to gifts, I love relying on holiday gift lists like this one to make shopping easier. I don’t believe my children need a lot of toys to enjoy the holidays, so I prefer to give them a few select higher-quality toys that I know they’ll play with for months. My children tend to like what’s “popular” in terms of toys, and the items on Kmart’s Fab 15 hit the mark.

Of course, my kids will find a few other goodies under the tree this year. My daughter adores Play-Doh and other classic toys, so she can expect a couple new kits, like the Play-Doh Disguise Lab Featuring Despicable Me Minions. Each year, I give my son an age-appropriate building set to work on. This year, I think I’m going to go with the LEGO Super Heroes X-Men vs. The Sentinel.
