Fashion Trend: Faux Fur on a Budget

As Kohl’s recently educated us, faux fur isn’t always so faux–the funding retail giant has been caught riding dirty, passing off coats with”artificial” fur cut that really came from raccoon dogs (an Asian species that is more canine than raccoon, but many certainly not artificial in almost any sense of the phrase ). What what??? If we are going faux, we’re talking REAL faux (an oxymoron, we understand ), but really–that’s kind of the whole idea.

Faux fur is a trend we’re digging because it spans from autumn to winter to spring 2015, and there is nothing a budget fashionista enjoys over a fad which has a very long life (meaning we spend a little today for a long-term yield ). No matter your reason for moving faux, think faux fur jackets, vests, and trimming, in colours (white, off-white, grey ) and cuts (glossy, straight, cropped) which will transition season , with everything from princess jeans to leather-look leggings to a swinging little floral skirt. Following are some faux fur picks that will take you from fall to spring, for significantly less (split what you invest by the amount of times you’ll use it to equivalent = a complete win).

Faux Fashion Trend on a Budget

The Faux Fur Jacket.

Buckled Faux Fur Jacket

Buckled $52.80 from 21, Faux Fur Jacket

We adore this piece for it is fun, funky mod feel. Wear with denim, leggings, a skirt–really, anything in your closet. It is perfect.

The Faux Fur Vest.

We understand you have got that covered, although this is a piece which you have to have a little attitude to pull off. Wear this with, well, whatever you want really… but we may imply a skater dress with leggings or tights, a maxi skirt with cute boots, or darkish skinnies with stilettos? Insert a chic clutch and you’re. all. that.

The Faux Fur Trim.

Army Anorak

Army Anorak from Terrible Gal

Cargo and military fashion jackets have been on-trend for awhile, but for Fall 2014 through Spring 2015, faux fur trim brings such coats to entirely au courant status. This army anorak from Nasty Gal includes all of the ideal elements–the cut the right color and fully faux trim. And it’s the perfect throw-on for those unpredictable weather Mother Nature sees fit to throw our way.

The Fur-Trimmed Boot.

Women's Trina Faux Fur lined Boots

Women’s Trina Faux Fur Trim Ankle Boots, available $27.99 from Target

We have a confession. No matter how various kinds of boots we collect, there just always appear to be more boots we must have (we blame Pinterest, but whatever). We’d like to live vicariously through you if you are at the marketplace, although Now our boot is pretty much maxed, might we propose a fantastic boot? While the fur-trimmed Ugg style boot that is reliable is on every other woman on the market, we enjoy the idea of an edgier, more boot for 2014-2015.  Something that will add an extra does of style to plaid, denim, leggings, maxi-dresses anything fall/winter/spring throws at us. A fur-trimmed ankle boot possibly? Works for us.

The Faux Fur Jacket Part II.

Two Tone Shaggy Faux Fur Coat

2 Tone Shaggy Fur Coat, available $39.90 at Choies

There is no logical reason why people should buy or wear this two-tone fur jacket, except it looks super amazing and that it reminds us of the exact retro-chic fur cape which Jessica Lange donned lately in Western Horror Story (and seriously, who is more fab than Ms. Lange?) . And why not have a piece in your wardrobe that is only a wee little surprising and? Exactly.
