Favorite Appears from 5 Inspirational Women + Chance to Win $150
This is a sponsored post, which means Zenni Optical provided compensation. Rest assured, all comments are my own.
Fashion is not trivial. It is a portion of how you brand yourself to the world. Making choices that are deliberate does not make you shallow or weak — it’s a sign that you’re in control of who you are. (And, shout out to my fellow budget fashionistas: whenever you take the additional step of making smart financial decisions regarding your own personal style, you’re more of a power gal.)
History is filled with stories of women who also had a strong sense of personal style — Coco Chanel, Mary Quant, Katharine Hepburn are only a few. And we have Park Geun-hye, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Carli Lloyd, Jennifer Lawrence and so many more showing the world how women can lead and inspire. This post is devoted to these girls, along with also the women leaders all around us — you and me included.

Now, on to the looks we love from women!
#1 Park Geun-hye
The president of South Korea, park Geun-hye, is among the world’s most powerful women. She is a girl leading in the world of a man. The data proves it. Based on Time.com, South Korea is the world’s 11th biggest economy, but rankings 108th on the world gender-gap index. Specifically, a woman in South Korea has paid about 39 percent less than a guy who does the exact same job.
Geun-hye’s style is serious and conservative. She’s about the monochrome power suit as you’d expect from a high heeled pioneer. She does like to let her style peek through her strong demeanor with accessories that are interior crafted and exceptional. And the people find. In 2013, she was photographed with a fabric lavender wallet along with the bit quickly became the town. Oh, and did I mention that the cost of the accessory? $3.

Geun-hye’s color option is brilliant here. The gold coat is a departure from gray or navy, and she matches a black top and it together and coordinating necklace. Without the wallet, her outfit is perfectly acceptable and appropriate. But toss in that the entire outfit and blossom clutch speaks of sophistication. Pick accessories you love, then use contrast to make them the star of your ensemble.
#2 Oprah Winfrey
Obviously I would include Oprah in this tribute; she is a self-made woman who is raised millions of dollars in support of empowering and teaching women. She’s also quite real, which makes her an amazing role model. We have seen her through thin and thick and from casual to formal. Her Instagram feed should be termed the 5,000 appearances of Oprah. And in all those thousands of looks, she carries herself with style and dignity.
This elegant variety flatters with its criss-cross detailing and belt. The dimensions of this belt is perfect — without producing weird body angles such as a 22, adding definition might. The dress is fitted above free-flowing and the thigh beneath, which means Oprah’s showing off her hot curves.
What to Copy from This Look
Recall when dresses were in fashion from the’80s? Since I look awful, I do. Likewise, Oprah knows what works together with her body. Invite a couple of friends out for a shopping day if you’re unsure about what styles work for you. Try on a variety of styles and also have your women take photographs. A photo of yourself can give you space. Learn what works and start shopping for all those fashions. (This makes for more efficient shopping, if you’re into that!)
#3 Michelle Obama
Michelle Obama has made many gifts it seems insufficient emphasize and to try them here. At minimum, we know her as our fun, knowledgeable, determined and strong First Lady. Here is one of our favorite appearances from the First Lady, although we’ve covered the style of Michelle Obama widely through time.

Character fashion is worn by the First Lady, and you can too. Trust use it to find bargain deals off the rack and your sense of style. The belted sheath is usually flattering, but you may have to experiment with belt widths to get the one which is appropriate for you. The belt of michelle is on the side, but it works on her.
#3 Carli Lloyd
Carli is a decorated female football player whose resume includes two Olympic gold medals and 2015 FIFA Player of the Year honors. She is also part of a very public complaint against the US Soccer Federation regarding equal pay for female players.
Carli is not known for being a fashion icon, but she has shown up nicely at occasions. In this look, she wears a gorgeous, drapeyteal dress with pumps that are cut-out and a cuff bracelet. I could have chosen a shoe, but hey, who cares? Her ultra fit legs take the point. And, she made the ideal choice with makeup and understated hair.

Toga-style and wraparound gowns are a shortcut into a look, provided that the cloth is optional correctly. Bold, solid colors work well in such a fashion, because interest is added by the folds. Ensure that you walk stand and sit down when attempting this fashion on however — drapey dresses that don’t fit right often bring about wardrobe malfunctions.
#4 Jennifer Lawrence
I would if I could high-five Jennifer Lawrence. She earned my respect because of her work ethic (how many functions has she had in the previous four decades?) , when talked out about getting paid less than her male costars but became a genuine role model. And it wasn’t the criticism itself it was how she whined:
This speaks to challenge girls have. We second-guess ourselves. These self-doubting questions when we are successful blindsided us. Should I say something and stand up? Can I have a right to? Can I over-stepping? Let girls are passed by those doubts.
JLaw’s red carpet style was covered by us but her appearances are stunning.
Things to Copy against this Appearance
This appearance is PUT TOGETHER, although she might be running around town. The cut and structure of her navy jacket is universally flattering, making it a great match with jeans that are skinny. The loose blouse keeps the general appearance. Don’t forget to balance styles and textures when you are putting together bits. Pair dark things with something loose light and flowy.
You and Me
Zenni Optical requested me to associate on this post because the business recognizes and respects the girls who inspire, lead and motivate. To girls since 2003, Zenni has been providing affordable, fashionable eyewear for the sake of context. It’s a resource for your own budget fashionista — you can find glasses (including single-vision prescription glasses) and sunglasses at Zennioptical.com for $50 or less.
Celebrities like JLaw and Oprah have a wide sphere of influence, but their achievements aren’t as impactful as those of the women close. My sister, by way of instance, includes a relentless quality to her that’s served her professionally. And she is humble and human. My daughter chose on her career in the 10th grade, and then spent six years of faculty doggedly pursuing the degree she needed.
Even my story might be a TV drama’s stuff. Divorced mother of two with half of a university education in 23. In 20 years that followedI procured three college degrees, saw my kids through college, sports and college, started a business, then worked my way up the corporate ladder. I manage thebudgetfashionista and do the corporate entity throughout the day today. (Don’t tell my boss!)
And I know I’m not that unique — you have a story about you or somebody you know overcoming odds. What is it? Share your story for a chance to win a Zenni Optical gift card!
