How to Shop New York & Company
Being a woman, particularly nowadays, does not mean that you’ve got an income — or funding — befitting your difficult work OR your own position. Unfortunately, nobody you work with cares how broke you’re (darn it!) And expects you to show up looking, well, professional. And there’s also the old adage,’dress for the job you want, not.’ Could there be any pressure? This, our budget fashionista friends, is the reason god made New York & Company. But, as with all retailers, there is a perfect way to store and also a way to store. Some tips so your trip falls into the former category.
Mall or Online? Among the things which make New York & Company a go-to is that whether you store in-store or online you will find quite excellent sales going on the majority of the time (like this Chiffon Sleeve Ruffle Top, buy one get one 75% off. Sigh.) Now, we all understand’sales’ are only as good as the clothes you buy and while it is not Neiman Marcus, NY&C garments will generally last if cared for, and since the prices at NY&C are pretty damn cheap to start with, it is win/win.
Speaking Of Purchase One, Get One 75% Off… This is kind of New York & Company’s thing — and we can not assert with 75% off. It’s always worth a quick glance to see what things are from the rotation this week. BUT remember — if you only want one, do not purchase a second just. An additional way to operate it? Shop with a friend, split the cost evenly, and get the bargain on two items — you both save!
Text Alarms. If you can’t be bothered with going online all the time to check out where the big savings are on a given day, offers text alerts. Text the word’WEB’ into NYSTYL (697895) to register, and get immediate sale alerts sent right to your mobile phone. And do not worry, they will not be blowin’ up your mobile night and day .
Promo Code Grace Period! How many times have you shopped online then realized once you processed your order which you forgot you needed a promo code, or forgot to seek out a promo code (retailmenot, anyone?) . NY&C has your best interests in mind. Or something. Whatever their reasoning (could customer service still be alive and kicking?) New York & Company gives you a full 48 hours after placing your order to utilize a code. Sure it is going to want a phone call, and some annoying time on hold, but saving a few bucks? Priceless.
NY&C Rewards Credit Card. As you understand, in TBF we don’t advocate getting new store credit cards (and consequently acquiring new debt) just for the hell of it, but if you are a very regular customer at New York & Company, there are a few benefits. Birthday discounts, 5-10 percent money back, free shipping on order of $125 or more and much more. There is no monthly fee, so that’s a definite plus. If you’d be spending the money anyway, BUT, only consider this — it’s not a deal when you’re spending.
