Nume Silhouette Review from Budget Fashionista
(Editor’s note: This post originally had a flash selling offer, which has since died. We’ve taken down the flash sale information and left the product review.)
My Silhouette, courtesy of Nume, arrived about a week ago. Before I opened up the box, I took a peek at the info plus the testimonials on Nume’s site. If you watched my Nume curling wand review, you know I have problem hair. It is nice, thin and frail, and I spend a good amount.
When I see a review of tools that are styling or hair products, I’m immediately skeptical. And even though I really like that the Nume wand, I had the same response this time. The Silhouette sounds life-changing on paper. The straightener retails for $139 and has got a 4.8-star score based on 2,172 reviews. It’s created with ceramic plates, which have a slick quality without grabbing, your hair slides and heat. Ion technology seals in moisture and reduces frizz — crucial for the majority of us ! The straightener also has beveled edges — and you are able to use those rounded edges for curling also (although to be fair, I have not tried it).
Nume Silhouette Review
That is the word on the Silhouette. My take? I have used it twice so far and the results have been kind of amazing. Straight, soft hair that’s vastly less frizzy in the conclusion of the day versus a. Be aware that I reside in St. Louis, in which it’s been around 95 degrees with 75% humidity. Perhaps I’ve been in a cave, but I’ve never used instrument which produces results that last all day or any product.
Be aware that the straightener hasn’t attempted with no Argan oil — and that I don’t believe I will. Argan oil provides near-magic rejuvenation to my own hair and I’m using it every day.
Lastly, I’ll say the Silhouette is not difficult to use. I sectioned my own hair applied a bit of Argan oil and glided the Silhouette over every 2-inch piece. Just like that, smooth and straight hair all day.
My hair was weird and wavy, although blow dried before I began straightening with the Silhouette. I cut the half up and got to work.
The straightener, I ran .
It didn’t take long to straighten all of my hair — less than 10 minutes.
Following is a look in my hair but 12 hours later. Straight and shiny!
I used the Silhouette again another day, in the morning that time. If the right design would endure during a hot, humid day I wished to see.
