Summer Skincare Quiz: Are You Acing It? (Sponsored)
Ladies, I’m a RoC Skincare Ambassador, so I am compensated by RoC for sharing skin care tips along with my skin care experiences along with you. All opinions are my own.
This summer how’s your own skin holding up? We’ve had some fiercely hot and humid days during the U.S. (except for you Southwest peeps who would welcome a bit of humidity once in a while). Now is a fantastic time to assess your skincare routine, so that I put together a quick (and completely non-scientific) summer skincare pop quiz. Take it to learn when you’re acing your way all summer long.
1. How many glasses of fluid do you drink daily?
According to the Institute of Medicine, women should drink approximately 9 cups of fluids. You have choices if you are not a water-drinker, although the safest option of fluid is water, naturally. FitnessMagazine.com, for instance, cites green tea, mint tea as well as 1 percentage reduced-fat milk as healthful water choices.
A favourite DIY option of mine is infused water. Simply collect some slices of lime, lemon and cucumber up and toss them into a pitcher with water. Let the flavors blend for a few of days, then enjoy ice. Or, even if you can’t wait two days, utilize the flavors to be released by a muddler from the citrus and lime right away. Just like a mojito sans rum.
2. Do you wear sunscreen every day?
Most of us know we’re supposed to wear sunscreen regularly, but actually doing it is another story. My no-fail solution is using a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. RoC Multi Correxion 5 1 Daily Moisturizer is what I reach for first. The wide spectrum SPF 30 is my the line of protection. In addition to this, I will include one or two layers of protection. When it’s a make-up day wearing, I select Bare Minerals first foundation with SPF 15. When it is a lake home day, I will use waterproof sunscreen that is standalone like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen with SPF 100 +.
3. Do you wear hats?
I am also a lover of hats for sun protection: baseball, boater, floppy — you name it, I likely wear it. A good hat keeps your face (and throat generally ) in the colour, makes a fashion statement and safeguards your hair color. Locate a hat style you prefer and pick up a few so that you have choices. Don’t let”not fitting” get in the way of healthy skin.
4. Have you got a face spritzer?
Face spritzer done correctly gives your skin a dose of antioxidants and moisture. Create your own by mixing muddled mint leaves with tea brewed with filtered water. You may also experiment with rosewater instead of the mint leaves. Hot 14, either way, you will have a mist to get all those ultra.
What’s your score?
If you scored under 7, look for ways you can easily adopt skin-healthy customs. At a minimum, be sure you’re drinking lots of water and wearing sunscreen daily.
