Tai Beauchamp’s Style Tips for the Holidays

Rudolph Belongs on TV, not on Our Ears:  Jewelry

As for the kitschy bell or Rudolph earrings, Beauchamp says,”let them collect cobwebs.”   Seriously, resist the urge to get cutesy with Grinch statement necklaces. Rather, she proposes”evolving in your own fashion” making sure jewelry is special element that gets the positive, unique-to-you vibes going.

So, when it has to do with bling, do not be afraid to go to it… as long as it is in all the right places.  She’s a lover of layering (multiple rings on one finger, so many bangles on her wrist and so on) but (and this is key) prevent cluttering up the appearance by alternating sides.  Put on a couple rings on bangles that are lots of and one hand on the arm.  Too much on one side is too much.

When it comes to our top half, forgo the layering effect.   Select bold earrings along with a statement necklace that is stunning.

Shimmer and Shine (But maybe not too Much)

Clothing — Much like people, Beauchamp adores texture and enjoys just how frequently it has appeared throughout the current seasons.   She loves the concept of sequins (even when not in vacation style, she adds oomph to casual jeans with the addition of a sequined top) and can also be excited about next year’s vases such as beading.  She states to contemplate by selecting something that can be worn again investing attentively.   However, she warns not to go over the top.   Use shimmer for its light reflecting properties, but prevent ultra-shimmer and suspend.   We are humans, not snowflakes together with arms.

Face — “Many women have a tendency to think of their holidays as a time to go all-out with shimmer,” Beauchamp told us. “They think,’I want to put frost everywhere.’ Do not overdo it. Tasteful and soft is key.” Add shimmer on eyes or cheeks, but not those areas AND lips. Refrain from head to toe gloss ‘n frost.   It detracts from our facial features; stay with an elegant holiday appearance.

Eyes — Again, less is more. Beauchamp suggests using an eyeliner brush to dab on a shimmer at the corner of the eye, then applying some.   She worries that getting can’t get enough of the brushes of Sonia Kashuk in Target and a decent set of brushes is important.

“Brushes permit you to wear cosmetics in so many different ways,” she says. “For example, if You Would like to wear similar color on cheeks and lips, they become helpful tools to achieve that appearance.”   It’s all about making the most of the product.

In the mood to mix things up a bit for that holiday party (or some time)?   “Black eyeliner is expected,” she states.   “Why not try something different by wearing black liner on the upper lash line and a navy or purple on the lower lash line” (Who wants to bet that I’ll Be looking this look tomorrow?   Ok, who am I kidding? Right after I finish writing this.   I am all about incorporating new twists to the expected and’m super psyched to try her suggestion).

Lip Tip:  Yes, it is the holidays. We are eating frosting than ordinary and hear songs stories of folks getting bitten, about Jack Frost.   But Beauchamp says people should not take the shine and inhale literally and do to our lips what we do with our eyelids (it goes back to less is more).  High gloss lips are all overrated.   Her suggestion?   Move Hollywood glam using a matte shade and give lips. “It’s all about balance and matte affordably adds a level of luxe,” she says.

Shade: Move Rich & Vibrant

While Beauchamp says that a woman can’t go wrong with blacks and whites in a wardrobe (hmmm… said like the authentic Nyc lady she’s ), she is big on pushing colour lines and breaking away from the expected.   For the holidays, she proposes opting for something less traditional (believe: oxblood rather than bright holly berry red) or sporting rich jewel tones.   Pantones 2013 colour of this year, green, is a perfect example — it is vibrant and rich AND lets us stay a step ahead of the trend.   Enjoy it!

‘Tis the Season to Break into a Skincare Routine

They state that along with age comes wisdom but so do the blemishes that are dreaded. Hormonal changes may make us prone to migraines as we mature. (Yeah, you 20-somethings, just you wait and watch, I state in my best”I am not jealous” voice).   Add to the vacation stress of how to seem excited when Aunt Dot provides us a Snoopy and Linus holiday sweater (for the eleventh time) plus it’s breakout-city.   But Beauchamp includes a fix that is three-tiered:

Get normal facials. She urges we do the top shape, but if that is not achievable she suggests trying it at least once or twice annually and moves.  “As the seasons change our skin responds to ecological changes and it is important to maintain our own complexions,” she says.

Try her go-to product to fight blemishes:

Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. “It is easy to do, fast and definitely powerful,” she said. “It works”   Clearly.   I mean, look at her face.    Flawless, flawless, perfect.

Remove makeup. Sure, we are busy moving to friends’ parties from office party, but doesn’t mean we ought to forgo makeup removal, because we get home at some insane hour.   Beauchamp says it is not only to make a clean surface that allows our lashes and systems work, although to eliminate debris and dirt.   That’s left as a barrier, blocking out the capability for a product to work its finest.

Ah, Beauchamp’s my kind of lady: she certainly loves (and we mean L-O-V-E-S) heels — the sort that takes her 5’11” frame to well over 6 ft tall.  Discuss turning heads. But that’s the point. She states heels Specifically make girls taller in the world — figuratively and literally.   The simplest dress, she clarified, cans turn to a stylish bold and powerful statement. (FYI, one of her most preferred titles: Rachel Roy heels).  Worried about feel as you May as Well wear stilts or teetering your way to the mistletoe?   Not to worry.  She told us,”That is what wedges are for.”

Strategies for Plus Size Ladies — Undergarments that are not the right match for the cut of a dress or fashion pant Isn’t a Fantastic thing.   She clarified that while a sports bra may be a choice for support, the look won’t carry over in that spiffy holiday V-neck or a wrap dress.  To flatter figures in a smooth and Jessica Rabbit-esque manner, she’s about Squeem, body-shaping undergarments with unique fabric technology. She also likes SPANX, touting their cozy element that is super.
