The DIY Bride: Wedding Beauty On A Budget

It’s a tough time for brides that want their dream wedding but don’t have a fantasy bank account to back it up. As every budget fashionista knows an antidote for times is wrapped up in three letters:  DIY.  These days, according to celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist Gocha Hawkins, DIY beauty is both totally fabulous and doable.

“The main advice I can give to any DIY bride is to test your looks ahead, thoroughly. Entrust among your bridesmaids with the duty of spending helping you try out hair and makeup looks using a camera and under fluorescent light. This way, there are no surprises when you shoot your photographs, and you can feel confident that you’ve achieved the specific look you want,” says Gocha.

Preparing for your big day and want some attractiveness direction? Here are three bridal beauty trends to try:

Bold Bride

We constantly speak about a pop of colour, and this year the trend extends to people about to wed.”The runways for spring and summertime 2012 collections were sprinkled with glowing neon colors not only in terms of the clothes, but also in makeup,” Gocha said. “It has certainly prevailed as a fashion for the more fashion forward bride this year. “

Pick 1 feature to focus on; whether you are going with lip or a eye , having both will likely likely be distracting and take away from the overall appearance.

A ponytail functions with weather that is hot instead of against it and is magnificent. To create this look, leave out the hair at the crown of their head when yanking hair back. Scrub hair using a large-barreled curling iron for a wavy feel or pin up to get a more updo. Hair in the crown for volume, spraying hairspray to place the appearance. To smooth, use wax pomade and fasten with a hair pin.

Classic Glam

Being a bride does not necessarily mean abandoning the va-va-voom — to the bride that wishes to fulfill her sex appeal (and why not?)  On her wedding day, a heavier makeup look with a glamorous yet easy hairstyle is your thing to do.

“Developing a dramatic eye with a red lip gives off that eternal basis of old-Hollywood charm and epitomizes class to get a sophisticated affair. A role model for this appearance is January Jones, who keeps it in her repertoire for ticket red carpet events. If your wedding theme leans toward romantic vintage, this look is definitely for you,” says Gocha.

Spend some time analyzing different shades of the perfect red. Depending on skin tone, a reddish with undertones of pink or a tint of orange will look best on brides. Keep other makeup easy, by lining the top rim of your eye in a black kohl lining but still magnificent. Use an eyelash curler for added volume (or if you are even more adventurous( false lashes) and also be sure that you apply ample mascara. A natural looking blush on cheeks for the complete effect.

Retro waves have been flattering on each face shape and hair lengths, except for really short. After your shower, use conditioner to keep hair moisturized. Dry hair and a part to the side. Curl in 1-inch sections and then roll. Set with an anti-frizz serum that will moisturize your hair through the night.

Natural Beauty

Minimalism is in, and for brides there is nothing better than providing your natural beauty a chance. That having been said, minimalism doesn’t imply no make-up, also it does not mean a boring’do . Since Gocha explains,”With a natural makeup look, I like to do something fun with hair, like choose a timeless style and then evolve it to be more modern.”

For cosmetics, choose a blush that’s as near as possible to your color. By shading eyelids with a gentle, natural colour that’s a color darker than the skin 21,, define your features. Gently line eyes with a liner if desired, or simply stick to make them pop. For lips, then stick with a shade or two darker than your lip hue in a moisturizing, tint that is lightweight.

For a natural necklace, curl sections with a 2-inch curling iron to make waves. Spray with brush and a shine-enhancing product to get rid of the threat of separation. Hair to roll and your side into a bun. Pull out a few face framing strands to make an unstructured appearance. Finish by spraying with holding spray and carefully put your headband.
