This Summer from Melting, how to Maintain your Makeup

Summer’s here! OK, unofficially, but who cares… summer’s here!

Now, if we can appreciate the weather and keep our cosmetics from melting. Just once, we would really like to sit during a summer picnic — or anything else for that matter — without our makeup dripping as fast as a corncob that is buttery.

Here are a few suggestions on ways to help this summer, from morphing in your chin, prevent your lips.

Tips on How to Keep Your Makeup from this Summer

Powder Power
We adore how creamy blushes and foundations help make our skin glow, but the warmth often takes us from creamy to cakey quicker than you can say,”where’s the AC?”

Our solution? Switch to light-reflecting powders instead of lotions. They have a tendency to make your skin look amazing. Same goes to your lids. Much as we love silky creams, most of us understand our mess can be turned by the warmth. If you’re going to be outside in the warmth choose eye color.

Get an Oil Change
Forego your oil-based anything and elect for water-based products instead. Oil-based and balmy don’t quite go together. Oil + Heat = Slippery Face. Additionally we like using a sponge applicator (not our fingertips) when applying foundation. Why? Fingers’ oils may lead to meltdowns. Each small amount of oil avoidance helps!

Get a Grip on Yourself!
In the heat, much less is more. This time of yearwe try our best to not slather ourselves into a moisturizer frenzy ones who are creamy and thick. Sure, prepping skin is essential, but becoming too moisturizer happy can interfere with makeup’s ability to correctly”catch” (and stay) in your face.

Out with the Old…
