Try This One Trick for Glowing

Would you believe Thanksgiving is in two short months? And after turkey Thursday hits, your calendar may look like a mess of holiday parties, girlfriend get-togethershours with colleagues and trips. Through all that, you wish to look energized and refreshed (even if you don’t always feel like that ). So it is time. Skin is a positive fashionista too.

This is: Go Gentle for Holiday-Ready Skin

Cold and dry weather is harsh on your skin. It can lead to redness and irritation , dull skin or breakouts.  The trick to preventing or reducing those results is to go ashore along with your usage of warm water, merchandise and hot air.

Measure 1. Change up your skin care regimen.

The notion of switching products that are skincare actually stresses me out — but don’t worry. We’re talking about small, simple changes . You have two choices:

  • Switch the products you’re using into the’sensitive’ versions. You will know I utilize RoC products. In winter, I change over to RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Sensitive Eye Lotion and RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Sensitive Night Cream, which are milder variations of the original formulas. Your skincare line has similar alternatives for you to try.
  • Change how many times you use certain products.  Your goal is to be more gentle on your skin this winter, so you may need to cut down on the exfoliates and harsh cleansers. Exfoliation does help eliminate dull, dry skin, but it is counterproductive if you’re doing it too frequently. Same is true for chemical peels, masks and even some cleansers.I even recently went from cleansing twice per day to only once. It has been a shift in 2 ways: my skin looks less dry and I’m saving $!

Step 2. Avoid water.

Lists the shower as one that are currently roughing up skin. Those long, hot showers may feel refreshing, but they’re actually stripping all the natural oils from your skin (and hair too). Elect for briefer, warm-water showers. You’ll notice the benefits

  • Your skin needs to feel less dry and tight.
  • Your hair should be more manageable and will hold color better.

Step 3. Check your thermostat.

Indoor heating, particularly from forced air heating, irritate your skin and can also dry out. Try having a timer to turn off the heat completely at night or reducing the warmth.
