Vitamin C is something of a cure-all. We ingest from turning into a cold it to avoid the sniffles, and we all scatter it on our faces reduce age spots and to brighten skin. But is all this Vitamin C actually doing anything for us?
It depends. Depending on its own anti-aging attributes, the medical community does support Vitamin C’s effectiveness (in theory anyway). WebMD says,”vitamin C is deemed significant in repairing free radicals preventing them from becoming cancerous or accelerating the aging” Some research also indicates that vitamin C may reverse or repair sun damage.
The sticking point is that this vitamin does not play well with the air — so it’s challenging to create before it can get it on your 40, a vitamin C serum which does not break down. Merchandise bundle or A badly thought-out product formula, subsequently, may be nearly useless. The fantastic thing is that there are effective serums that deliver on the claims of vitamin C. Even Dr. Oz says !
When You’re Able to Gain from Topical Vitamin C
A range of skin ailments improves. Sagging skin, age spots, fine lines, wrinkles and are the typical suspects of aging. And this mega-vitamin can help with all those things.
These advantages are thanks to vitamin’s capacity to promote collagen production, together with its antioxidant properties. Increased collagen production means skin. And antioxidants protects skin from damage caused by free radicals, which can be essentially wild molecules which are missing an electron. These have a lifespan, but nevertheless manage to run your body around and damage your cells and skin. Anything that’s called an antioxidant, including vitamin C, can neutralize those beasts by donating electrons.
How to Choose a Vitamin C Serum
All of this sounds fantastic if you’re fending off a number of signs or sunlight damage of aging. And that means the question is, how do choose? The first rule would be to compare ingredients. Ascorbic Acid is the strongest form of vitamin C, but it’s also the harshest. A product with a high concentration of Ascorbic Acid may cause skin that is sensitive to flake out or sting.
Gentler chemicals which are also powerful include Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP).
Most vitamin C products reveal their effectiveness of the vitamin as a percentage. Look for products with 10-20%, if you’ve got sensitive skin, and steer towards the lower end of the range. The formulas pair the vitamin C with other beauty-boosting compounds, including vitamin E and acid.
Inspect the packing. Vitamin C does not hold up well when exposed to the components as noted above. An excellent product will have an opaque or sour bundle.
